In 1997 Piltown A.F.C. purchased approximatly 9 acres of land for our new grounds, replacing our old rented home, 'The Showgrounds', on which we had played for over 25 years. This marked a monumentally progressive step for the club being the first time any Piltown soccer club has owned its own land. The site was carefully chosen to facilitate 3 full-size playing fields, a clubhouse and training facilities with a good quality, level surface and a river for drainage.
 Since then we have been continually developing the property. Initally we focused on the most important aspect, our
playing fields. The first task undertaken was laying an extensive network of drains throughout all 3 fields. This proved a great success and our
fields are in great condition all year round and playable when most others are not. At the same time we levelled and completely re-surfaced
one of our pitches which is now one of the best playing surfaces in the area.
In 2001 we built our clubhouse consisting of 4 dressing rooms, 2 shower-rooms, referees room, kitchen, office and toilets. We also made provision

Funding
Piltown A.F.C. has strived for many years to have their own grounds and now that dream has come true. This could not have happened however without the blood, sweat and tears of many people. Our greatest breakthrough came with the initiation of our Field Development Lotto Draw. This draw, which is widely used by clubs around the country, has been in operation now since 199 and has been a great sucess. It is the reason the club has come so far in the last number of years, so please keep supporting us by buying and/or selling tickets. Also however much of this work would not have been possible without the help of the Sports Capital Grant and the FAI. We have received a number of grants in the past which have been critical in the development of all our facilites.

X x X all-weather pitch for winter training and which is also available for rent to the public. Most recently we have erected floodlighting around
one of the playing fields, which is primarily for training but (depending on the state of the surface) also provides the opertunity of playing
competitive night matches.
Other work has also been done such as the building of a large shed for storing lawnmowers and other equipment. An entrance, gates, walls, fencing and have also been erected.
All-in-all our facilities today are among best in the Waterford and the surrounding leagues.
